Default RXV Solenoid 36v or 48v?

I know that the OEM solenoid is 36v but just before the weekend my OEM solenoid died (overheated) I had a spare 48v white rogers solenoid on hand and ran that.

I have not had any issues all weekend at all variable speeds with an Avg of 21mph and top speed of 30mph.

I have the FASTRXV Flash and they have confirmed that they do not change the solenoid values.

Question: What can go wrong running the 48v? To date nothing has gone wrong. I would have assumed that the RXV would have had an issue with it by now if there is one?

Follow up question: Why cannot I run a 48v solenoid and why is it letting?

I dont want to screw up the cart but at the same time I dont want to go back to a 36v if for some reason it's not compatible with the FASTRXV flash.

If it had the 36v that is what needs to be on there. I’m actually surprised that it pulled in the 48. The controller can be set to use a 48v but you need a handheld to do that. The faster speed is pulling more current and probably overheated the stock solenoid. Replace it with a heavy duty and you should be good.

With that 48v solenoid you have a chance it will drop out on you. That's because in the parameters the pull in and holding is set lower for a 36v solenoid then a 48v solenoid. If or when it drops out your cart will come to a halt no matter what speed, you are going.

Go back to a 36v solenoid or take your controller out and send it to me and I'll change it for free for you. I see no reason to take a chance on this. The 48v solenoid will run cooler if the parameters are set up for it.
