Default 23HP Briggs choke assembly?

More dumb questions! Anybody got a pic of the choke rod installed that Cart Parts Plus sends you with the 23 HP big block kit to use the choke? Its a bent rod about 5 inches long with a knurled hex end on it and a spring and base. I think in my haste I threw out the directions for how to put it in.

I've never needed to use the choke on a Vangaurd, do you need it?

Can you post a pic? I got mine a few weeks ago (have not installed yet), and I don't recall seeing anything in the box for the choke at all?

Yes I need the choke when cold for a few seconds. For " DRAG RACER " I am assuming its a choke extension rod of some kind. It was in a separate bag in the box with the engine. I have an e-mail off to Tom at CPP and he is always good at getting back to you. I will let you know what he says about it.

I had one of those on my v twin when I got it, it was a fixed throttle adjuster, mine ran on propane.
I rarely..well..NEVER have to use my choke, but I have a little spring loaded
piece of wire attached for some reason, I used it when I first put it in..why, I don't know.. I always check my oil and stuff anyway, so if I needed to choke it on a really frosty morning in Florida, say..62 degrees, I may have to choke it..but I doubt it.

Essy has the bomb choke, used an actuator off a door lock or something and made an electric *click* device, just like downtown..

My choke solution on my Honda,

It's a door lock actuator, return spring, and coat hanger cut to length with a horn button (momentary push switch) in the stock choke location.

Well I have a 18hp block but I wanted to hook up the choke just like the factory choke was. So I picked up a choke kit from the parts store and made it work. The only thing special I had to do was make a 3/8 washer smaller in diameter and trim the cable back. Now it works just like the factory choke and if I need to choke it I don't have to flip the seat and all that
