Default 05 G22e

My buddy has a stock 05 and when he lets of the gas or goes down hill, there seems to be a brake on the motor. is there anyway to fix this or shut the feature off

Yea, take it to a yamaha dealer and have them reprogram the controller. Thats the only way. (unless you know someone who has the software and a PDA.) There are 25 regen modes. Mode 13 is right in the middle and where most are set from factory. Mode 25 is the one you want. It has very little regen.

Roady knows his stuff! The "brake" felling is the the regenative braking. You can have it adjusted like Roady says or just "unplug the motor sensor lead to the wire harness. The problem will be that you lose "anti run away". I would try that first and if your not happy or comfortable loosing "run away" have it reprogramed. Later Dave
