Default Re: Got oil showing up in the air box of your lifted cart?

Thanks I am new and just bought a 295 and noticed oil in the breather, also higher on the stick then it needed to be from what I could tell. My first lesson learned here from just reading a previous posts! Dumping the oil... What weight oil does the 295 require? Thanks!

Where will the oil level be at on the dipstick when you add the 1.5 QT?

Would putting bigger tires on a cart do the same thing

This only applies to installing a lift. When you do the angle of the engine carriage increases so the engine is tilted more than stock throwing off the dipstick's ability to measure the oil level accurately.

Can someone that has done this post a picture of the dip stick to show the level. I just changed my oil, but did not see this post and I recently lifted my cart. Knowing this from prior carts that the oil get to the full line quick, I was cautious about not overfilling the oil. I am no where near the full line but am wondering where everyone is for the "new full" mark. I have a 1997 EZGO Medalist with the 295 cc Robin engine.

Thanks

So my cart is lifted, a lot probably 6+ “ with a long arm kit. I drained and changed the oil this weekend. I jacked the back of the cart and deflated front suspension to get the motor and skid plate level when draining. I filled and checked the oil level at 1.5qt and it was very slightly 1/4” Over the full line. I then removed the jacks and inflated front suspension to where cart floor board was level to ground and oil measured exactly to the full line. Very little difference when the cart was level vs when the engine was level. At least now I know when the cart is level the oil should read full on the dip stick

Does the 1.5 qts apply to all different lift heights? Is this affected differently from a 3" lift to a 6? Thanks in advance.

1.5 quarts is the engines requirement regardless of lift height.
