jack up the rear(or neutral) and splice the wires. Adjust the carb so the engine is running (make sure its not just cranking). If the clutch engages lower the idle until it no longer engages when you start it.

I tried it on my ezgo but those 2 strokes dont like to idle.

Yes, I believe there are 4? 10mm bolts that hold the air box on top of the engine. Carb should slide right off the studs after you remove the air box. There is also a mixture screw. If you get the carb jet kit and K&N filter, you won't have to mess with it much at all.

Carts want a 14.7:1 pound air:fuel mixture. That's 20,000 gallons of air per 1 gallon of fuel.

thanks in advance
I stumbled upon this by accident while replacing a coil on a g-16, there is a plug that runs to the coil where the fan shroud is (it's a two wire and has a connector exactly like the one on the reverse switch) I had it disconnected and started the cart and when I went to shut the cart off it just kept idling. I haven't had any use for this.. but reason to say that a inline switch may be just the trick. Going off of memory I think this connected to the gas pedal switch and I believe it tested out as a ignition ground. Grab a tester and see if you can't come up with something.

Well this evening I went ahead and tryed it. I took the switch off at the gas pedal and adusted my carb and it works great. It sounds just like my friends 23hp because I have the Plowmans exhaust on it. I wish it ran like one. It took less than 10 minutes to do and was one of the best things ive done to it. If you have a comet 94c clutch this is no doubt a must to do, it really gives it alot more get up and go.

Well if you have a stock front clutch it wont work, but you can still do the first step so your starter will run when you turn the key, which sounds cool

1. Pull rubber floor mat up
2. Remove pedal access panel.
3. Find the little diamond shaped box with the 2 wires running too it(there may be one think wire and the two small wires are in it.)
4. Remove this switch and reinstall the access panel and the mat.
If you have a stock clutch this is all you can do, this will make the starter run when you turn the key.
5. Remove the airbox assem. and find the carbuerator idle screw (should be pointing to the right rear of the cart.
6. Put the cart in nuetral and tighten this screw until the cart tries to move, then turn back 1/8 of a turn and put the airbox back on.
7. ENJOY

Its really that simple. If my camera was working I would take some pictures...

If you dont understand somthing, just ask. Ive been lost alot in my life.
