That is the old 0-5kΩ 2 wire throttle.
You can clearly see the resistor on the black wire on micro switch #3. When the FNR is on reverse, that resistor goes in parallel with the throttle, effectively reducing the maximum resistance (Ie: speed) the throttle can reach. Disconnect either one or both of those wires on micro switch #3 and tape them separately, You do not want the wires touching each other. Run the resistance tests on Post #41 to make sure the throttle is reaching the high resistance needed for full speed. Refer to the diagram on post #30 which is the correct one for your cart. |

should i refurb the motor...cleaning, new brushes, ect...
this is really getting frustrating and i dont want to sink another 2000 for motor, controller, and new FNR just to go fast...i just want in to go the stock speed which should be around 14 mph, correct? |

If its got a shunt wound motor you might reversing the field windings. F1 & F2 on the motor.
