Default OK I found a front axle of a 2002

I have a 2009 ezgo/bad boy buggy and if you don't remember, something in the front motor or axle, will not let it turn all the way-

I figure I could convert the cart to a 2 wheel drive, until I save the Dollaros to fix either the Motor or the axle

I am trying to figure out, if I am over thinking or under thinking my problem?

The weather has been tooooo screwed up lately to get the cart into a warm dry place and my son is working a lot (saving for their Home)

any thoughts? the front end is axle, shocks, steering dampner and springs
no hubs and its real inexpensive

thanks Gentlemen
Chris

I think overthinking. If it won't turn then something that pivots is binding. So cv joint or spindle. Or maybe the steering box. Pull the tie rods loose and see if the box will spin rack to rack.

If your BBB front axle is like mine, you need a pre-01 weldment to replace it. Is your steering box on the cart frame or the axle itself?

In your other thread, Did you ever remove the motor and see if it is the motor or the front end that is bad??

I saw this front axle, shocks, steering dampener and springs for real cheap and thought that could give me the luxury of getting the cart going a lot cheaper

My Son has yet to remove the motor

There are a lot of Mechanical things I can no longer do- I am a retired Rugby player and need surgery on both shoulders-( torn rotator cuffs) so I can watch and instruct, but until surgery, it aint gonna happen-

I got one more year till Medicare and then I can get Physical stuff Fixed 2 shoulders, two knees, left hip, left ankle Yeehaaaaaa

that is why I really like my cart, I can get around our place in the country- there are spots I haven't gotten to in 10 plus years and with the 4 wheel drive- I can go anywhere- except in the lake

Oh it is easy to get the motor off just don't be under it when it falls

If you can put your hand on the motor, spin the wheel and see if you feel a "clunk" when it stops.. If not, may just be a CV joint
