you are doing just fine......keep going! you will be done and no time.

one more thing.....look into the bottom of the spline on the old motor. you may find a rubber disc in the bottom, remove it and put it in the bottom of the spline of the new motor.

thanks sir nuke!

the new motor came with the rubber insert. i took it out of old motor and put it in bandit then tried to put bandit on and it wouldn't fit. after about 20 mins of brainstorming decide to look inside bandit and check to see if it came with one and it did.

got a chance to take it the cart out and the difference is VERY noticeable! my top speed now is 18mph! before it would top at 16 and only sustain it for a second. now im reaching 15 mph much faster and can cruise at 16mph.

still have to check tire pressure so may get little more mph after, we'll see. always open to ideas so if I missed something please don't hesitate to let me know.

next move is to upgrade to 4g cables etc..

Many thanks to all the guys on BGW for the help along the way!! there's so much information on the site

If going to 6X8V (48V) is in your plans, buy/build the 4Ga cables for it.

The terminals on an 8V battery are both on same side, so the five interconnecting cables have to be longer.

thanks johnnieB! once my current pack gives out 6 8vs have been what im leaning toward. after talking with another one of the guys building cables (welding not using a crimp) does seem possible now.

also, is it matter of 6 inches give or take of additional length for each interconnecting cable?

I don't know what cable lengths are need for a 6 x 8V battery pack, I have seven 6V batteries and I bought mine from ScottyB.

Maybe someone that knows will chime in, or you could ask the question is a new thread.
