?? if I should proceed with my project or buy new
As stated in my project thread I have a 1990 marathon resistor cart. The cart caught fire and all the electronics need to be replaced.
Here is a link to the thread if you havent seen it. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ew-member.html As I start to add up the cost of the parts esp the parts from ScottyB his total for the conversion kit and the HD F/R swithc is 1020.00 I also have to buy batteries which thankfully my family owns a Napa so I can get those at cost. So 500 for those. Plus the 100 bucks to build the battery cables. And 100 for molding and metal for the floor. So at this point I am at 1800 for parts plus the 150 I have in the cart. so 2K. do you guys think it will worth doing all this or just stop and buy another cart. I did get alot of my parts powder coated this week thankfully at no cost to me bc my best friends family owns the company. I know everyone will say golf carts are money pits and i see this as I have gotten further into this project. Just wanted to hear what you guys have experienced or opinion of how to proceed. I appreciate it!! |

I have to agree with sir nuke, buy stuff here and there and get it going. If not, I'll give you your money back. I'm just across the Georgia line. Also there is a guy just outside of Seneca S.C with an Ezgo grave yard, roof, body etc... I bought a roof and body for mine for 50 bucks.

Biggie.....I bought mine......and it looked like this one week later....
Bear Frame.jpg Obviously made it a lot easier cleaning and removing any rust off of the frame....once done with the frame, its good to go for many years to come. Just do it right the first time. I have one big pile of parts!! LOL Body's Off.jpg I bought all oif the electronics at the same time.....and the new batteries. and built it all with the body off, which made it a lot easier. after one week......she looked like this.......
