Re: Dual Action Rear Springs
I've been looking to get a better ride out of my cart too. I have the heavy duty leaf springs and initially removed one leaf. Still too bouncy. I just removed another leaf spring so there are only two remaining. It does ride a bit better. I also ordered those Monroe shocks but they are about 1.5" too short. Now I need to find a longer shock. Then I hope it will be perfect. Otherwise I'll put the original leaf springs back on and do a hockey puck rear lift.
I realize you can only get so much of a nice ride with leaf springs so maybe it is what it is. |

Re: Dual Action Rear Springs
Update for those interested. I have achieved a very acceptable comfortable ride finally. I had to get shock extenders to make those Monroe shocks fit. Easy enough for about $12 on Amazon. Despite the common misconception, the shocks DO make a difference. Granted I am only using two leaf springs out of the 4 on a HD leaf spring kit but there's no way I need any more leafs. Next update will be Li ion batteries so I'll be shedding around 300lbs. Will likely go to just the stock leaf after that and pitch the shock extenders.

Re: Dual Action Rear Springs
I love the dual action springs on my precedent they are great riding alone or with a full cart. I have gotten many compliments on how smooth it rides. I am running the stock rear shocks also.
I bought Red Hawk dual action spring kit #SPN-2030. I would recommend to anyone. |

Re: Dual Action Rear Springs
Putting mine on next week. I am looking for a smoother ride and a lower back end compared to the three spring HD that I have now......

Re: Dual Action Rear Springs
Yep, my experience has been pretty similar to what everyone else has said. My Precedent had 4-leaf HD springs on the cart when I bought it and I thought it was too tall (didn't like the way it looked and made it just a tad harder for my young kids to crawl in back) and too harsh of a ride. Installed the Red Hawk dual action ones mentioned a few posts up and love them so far.
