Scotty If I understand you correctly. Put a switch on 48 volt side and a switch on the 12 side. Turn them off when not in use????

Basically yes - BUT
There are not many switches that will handle the 48v side which is why everybody is using the CC charger relay to switch the battery power side -HOWEVER You could use a battery disconnect. I have seen them at auto parts houses rated high enough to work for a DC reducer supply line. |
