Club car with serial ph1115-xxx, speed

So I have a friend with the above cart, asking me for more speed. I've only had hands on work with series carts and I couldn't remember if he could do speed code 4 or needs the magnet. He described the end of his motor to be the black top hat sensor. He doesn't want crazy speed, he currently goes 12-15. I did explain for crazy speed you need crazy cash, for controller and motor, cables. So he said around twenty would be fine. So Could you help me help him?

I only use tapatalk for forums so the search function is lacking, if you know what I mean.

That is an Excel model so no speed magnet option.

In order of increased performance, flexibility and cost:

1) Speed Code 4.
2) Plum Quick bandit PH motor tuneup.
3) New Altrax XCT Controller.

Cost is from $100 for code 4 to about $400 for Controller.

Any Alltrax XCT control will give 22-23mph on stock tires. More speed is possible with the addition of aftermarket speed motor MOT -A3
