Default Wiring discrepancy on Alltrax SR 48500

So my old controller had a small wire from B- to the small terminal on the solenoid. Alltrax has this wire going to one of the spade terminals..... I just want to make sure I'm reading the schematic correctly. B4 I let the smoke out of something.

You might want to contact Alltrax directly to confirm.

Post a pic of the diagram and guys will help you out.

I know that when I installed my sr48500 there were some differences compared to how the old one was wired. I guess there are a couple of different ways it can be done. Did you get yours from Scotty? I found his diagram easier to follow than the one in the manual. Always better to be safe than sorry, but if you follow Scotty’s, you’ll be good.

That’s how I just did mine. Negative on solenoid to black spade connector on controller

The manual explains that either way will work. Moving Solenoid - from B- to J1 black allows the controller to cut the connection when the power is off as a failsafe feature.

Thanks guys, I finished that part and then emailed ScottyB on another since I am running his F/R switch, sw182... needless to say, he answered my question and then I ordered a new F/R switch.

Since I can’t hack the 36v switch to run on 48v with my lithium pack. I have to get a 48v switch

If anyone needs/wants a pretty new 36v F/R switch. I can ship it quick and it would be slightly cheaper than a brand new one!
