Default Battery load under 48v when stopping

Hey everyone! I've been reading through the stickies and just need a tad more advice.

I have a 2014 club car precedent with 2015 batteries. Last month the battery light was coming on for about 10 second but ONLY when I just stopped. Never came on when driving. I saw that happens when the battery load falls below 48v.

As of yesterday I plugged my charger (Powerdrive3) into the cart, it clicked, but did not start charging. When pulling the DC out of the cart, it clicked again.

I can't imagine this would be a charger issue since I did purchase it used from a golf course. I'd have to guess the batteries would probably need a replacing.

Any advice / where to start would be helpful! I can answer any questions as well. Thank you!

a reading around 48 volts (non moving) is 40% to 50% battery and you shouldnt run them down that far . Check the pack voltage and each battery with a volt meter and post results

That sounds like the fuse mounted on the back of your charge receptacle. The charger is coming on (which tells us the sense wire and fuse is good and the charger relay is good.) so it is either a bad fuse (most probable) or a heat sink diodes in the PD3 (50/50 chance) or the OBC is failing (could be....)

To check the fuse pull it and inspect it or remove the wires from the back and place a continuity meter on both sides to verify good or bad....

Thanks gents. Just saw these replies this morning so I'll check those when I get home.

I did fix the charger issue. Light is still coming on for a few seconds as soon as i come to a full stop though.

That is from the regen occurring in your pack when you are off pedal and being registered by your OBC as you are probably a little low and at the light "trigger" point.

And it will take a few charges for your OBC to swap over to its charging algorithm as it is learning again.
