Does using a high-speed cable or a zip tie on the governor spring affect the engine life or damage the engine?

Re: High Speed Cable or zip tie for 2016 Club Car with Subaru efi
Depends on what RPM you run it up too? 3600 is factory recommendations. I run mine around 4100RPM's. So yes I'm wearing out the motor a little faster. Buy a Tach for your cart. You can also tighten the throttle cable for more speed. I'm running 30MPH with full tire pressure on 23" tall tires.
