Default Battery charger

Hello everyone, I have a 1991 ezgo marathon 36v that I’m in need of a new battery charger. the original one that came with my cart has bit the dust. Looking for some reviews on ones out I’ve been reading a lot on some but as far as reviews I can’t find many about newer ones. Looking at the summit 2. Can anyone point me in the directions for one, cart has 6 new Napa 6v battery’s , new d&d motor Curtis 500a controller and solonoid 2ga wires thanks kyle.

Kyle,

You cant beat a DPI Gen IV with float.....check Scottyb's for the best price.

https://shop.cartsunlimited.net/DPI-...harger-DPI.htm

All the new charging technology AND an automatic float mode...

I also have used the Yewey and have been more than happy .....

Drop Scottyb a message, he will take care of you !.....

I don't believe the DPI genIV has a float mode.

There has been a change in how the DPI maintains batteries after the charge with the new Gen4 model. The old Gen3 did have a float mode but the new model has a battery pack monitoring feature where it will monitor the pack voltage and come back on to recharge at a certain voltage... sorry I'll try to find out what that certain voltage is.
Our UY1200z was designed to replace the old Gen3 with a constant float charge which does keep the pack at 105% charged all the time... so it is ready to go when you are.
The 36v model is 20 amps.

Do the dpi chargers have a lot of issues? I’ve read on them and a lot of people are having issues with them. That was my first choice until I read about how they go out and are left stranded with out charges waiting for warranty to fix them ect. I want a changer that will do balance charge float ect I don’t mind spending some more money on one if they are good.
