Controller cover
I'm installing a new Alltrex 400 amp controller in a 99 DCS cart. I bought the controller from ScottyB. We were talking about ways to remount the Run/Tow switch since the cover doesn't clear the new controller and soleniod. Can anyone post picts of how they mounted there switch? I don't mean to do a fly by and I know it's rude to ask a question and sign off but I have to go finish making cables and installing batteries. Any input is appreciated and Thank You in advance. I will check in when the little woman rings the dinner bell.

Re: Controller cover
The first and simplest solution is the old cut the cover in half and toss the bottom out and use the upper half with the switch intact as we discussed. Then there is the fancy Run/tow housing. OR any flange you can mount a switch to. I'm sure some pics from other members will surface... But in your situation I think the half cover solution may offer the best protection and durability considering the variety of operators the cart will see.

Re: Controller cover
Thanks ScottyB. Getting ready to go back out and finish the wiring. Test ride. Cut the cover. Load it on the trailer and take it back to the ball field. Thanks for the call earlier ScottyB

Re: Controller cover
Thanks LostHusker. I cut the one I'm working on a little shorter than that but it is long enough to keep the mud off the top. I also drilled a 1/2" hole in the top corner; above the LED diagnostics light so I can check the display when I get a call that they killed the cart again. Plugged the hole with a rubber grommet. Just took it for a short test spin. GPSed at 18 MPH with semiflat tires. Gonna pump the tires up tomorrow and test again. If all looks good I can drop it off at the baseball field so they beat the snot out of it for field clean up day tomorrow. Thanks again ScottyB for you help. Your a good man ScottyB:thumbu p:

Re: Controller cover
Glad everything is working good. I would rather a call to check wiring than a call to complain about smoke Good we all could help.

Re: Controller cover
Finally got the new/used steering rack from an ebay purchase. Front end fixed up and got the cart moving around. Did the cut off controller cover as Lost Husker posted and got to test it tonight. GPSed between 20-21mph on a flat 1/2 mile run Thanks ScottyB and Alltrex for the upgrades and technical help. Can't wait to test it for torque!
