Definately do not let the inside nut spin ( BAD A NO NO )
There is a product out there called PB Blaster which everyone hrere ommends . If the Bolt is in top dont let the PB/WD run into motor , put cloth around it if the bolt is on bottom Ur OK . While U'r waiting for the PB to soak , clean thos NastyA55 batteries |

Re: Terminology
Ha, that pic was after a "light cleaning"! I know I got a lot of tlc ahead, but I am trying to get it to run first.
I'll look into the PB blaster and report back my progress. I don't think I got to worry about any product getting into the motor right now because I can't even get either nut to break loose. How much spin can the bolt take before I screw something up inside the motor? A full turn, a half turn, any turn or what? |

Re: Terminology
Try to find a tappet ((skinny)) wrench for the inner bolt.
Liquid wrench or pb blaster not wd40. |

Re: Terminology
Thanks Dooms - I already hit a few times with WD-40 (it didn't do anything anyway), but I'll be sure not to use it again.

Re: Terminology
OK here is an Idea of last resort , BE Very careful
If U have a drimel tool or if U Can get the blade of a hack saw in there , Cut about 95 % off the face of the top nut , down to the eyelet that is in there. Do Not cut bolt, or inner nut . With 95% of the face gone, place channel locks on the remaining part of the nut it will separate, and unscrew (use PB if needed) |

Re: Terminology
Gleemo, I actually thought about that or maybe taking my small metal grinder and VERY CAREFULLY cutting that top nut off as you said.

Re: Terminology
It depends on the room and confidence U have in what U are doing, on the method
, since U do not want to destroy anything else. I know U are focused on the 1 bolt , but while U'r there hit the others with PB also, I have a feeling U'll be replacing all cables (soon). |
