Measurement help on lifted Precedent
If you have a precedent with a 6" lift (pref Jakes) with 22 or 23 inch tires, would you please take a minute to measure and post the overall height of your cart? I haven't done my install yet but I'm a little concerned my cart isn't going to go in and out of my barn's garage door when I get done. This really concerns me because I'd like to do the install inside my barn and don't want to get done and find I can't get out.

Re: Measurement help on lifted Precedent
Just wondering...
Can't you measure your cart the way it is then add 6" to determine the overall height after the 6" lift? My cart is not where I'm at now, (it's kept at my lot up north, but the biggest high difference was the rear end after the HD springs. |

Re: Measurement help on lifted Precedent
scuba, I certainly can, but is that my final measurement? Aren't the tires going to add some height as well? If it's just (current height + 6"), then I'm good with getting under the door, but I can't see how the tires aren't going to add a couple inches as well.

Re: Measurement help on lifted Precedent
Sorry, I assumed that you already had the tires on... just were adding the lift. The standard tires are 18" I believe. Adding a 23" tire would be the difference divided by 2. So add another 2.5" plus the 6" and you should be good to go.

Re: Measurement help on lifted Precedent
Makes sense scuba, thanks. As I said at the beginning, I'm concerned about installing all this stuff and then the cart being stuck inside the barn I store it in. It's going to be close. I'll try to do these measurements and see how much, if any, wiggle room I have.
Meanwhile, if anyone has a precedent with a 6" jakes spindle lift and 23" tires and could measure it and post it, it would be very helpful - thanks! |

I have an '06 Precedent with a 6" AllSports A-arm lift and 23" Duro tires on 12" wheels and it stands 76" to the highest point of the roof.
