Default Sudden Motor Braking

Hello and thanks in advance for the help.

I have a 2000.5 DS (one backrest seat version) Electric Club Car Regen I.

In the last week it has developed a problem.

Description:

After letting off the accelerator pedal and coasting to a low speed, the cart suddenly comes to a stop as if the brakes are being applied. The brakes are not being applied. It seems like a motor braking issue associated with the regen system. The buzzer sounds for a very short time. This never happens with the accelerator pedal depressed. If fact, if the cart starts this sudden braking, pressing the accelerator will stop the sudden braking and the cart will behave normally. This problem will repeat approximate 80%-90% of the time.

Questions:

Suggestions for repair?

Is there a way to bypass the regen system?

Thanks again,

Rick

How fast are you traveling when this occurs? If it's at a very slow speed, it's normal, as the cart thinks it's rolling down a hill. If it bothers you, I think you can disable regen braking on your cart, but not sure.

This is a severe braking, not normal.

There are three settings for the IQ regen braking . . mild, medium and aggressive . . . wonder if controller is crapping out and decided to start using the aggressive setting?? or speed sensor???

Could you explain what controller?

I am a novice working on these things.

Again, if anyone knows how to bypass or disable the regen system, please let me know how.
