I hooked the red and white wire to the forward wire. Yes,the volts were steady.

Checking v glide. Checked the purple wire and it has 2.75 volts,should be 3.75.Checked yellow wire and had 2.75,pushed pedal down to floor and it went to 0 volts. Could this be a problem? Specs from Club Car maual and it says ABOUT 3.75 volts.
