its a two piece reusable rivet, pry the outer portion up to release the lower portion. the cover will seem inpossible to remove too, just pull harder

If you're talking about the plastic rivets with the center post, if you can get to the backside just use a small punch and push the center pin up and the rivet will come right out without any damage so you can put it back in.

Does the replacement "quick spring" work better than just tightening the nut?

Search this forum for Plowman. He offers engineered kits that will not disapoint. He offers way more solutions than posted on his website. You will need to adjust the valves, change the jets, adjust linkages, etc. so some mechanical skills are necessary. I think he is a one man show, but has been in business for decades, so do your research before you call him.

Be careful adjusting the governor. It can cause other issues, most prominent on BGW, backfires, wont start/stop, jerky starts, takes off when started. All of these issues are related to throttle position. But I've never seen a solution posted. Only recommendation to purchase this, that or the other thing, until the owner gets disappointed and sells the cart.

How to properly adjust the pedals (linkage related) would be an awesome sticky for these carts. While I know how to do it, I would perfer it came from a Yamaha mechanic.

If you don't want this to become you lifes work, contact Don Plowman.
