Have you tried running without the diode, or verified that the diode is positively good and installed correctly?
How about a pic of the diode install? Sometimes a picture is better than 20 posts.

I'm going to take the diode off right now and try it but wont that blow a pedal switch doing that also not good for it?

No not a problem for test purposes. Lets back up and find out why your pedal box ms is popping like a fuse each time you press the gas.


You should have 36v (+) to the pedal ms on the green wire and nothing on the red. Pay attention to polarity + or - . We are looking for a polarity problem here.

Ok with the diode off the cart moves back and forth everything hooked up. Should I put a new diode on?

Yes - get a 3 amp diode and pay strict attention to polarity when installing it.
