Melex solenoid resistor
Got a Melex 625 E cart to work on. Will not run and resistor on solenoid across solenoid gets really hot as soon as battery cable is hooked up. Anybody have any idea what may be wrong

Sounds like you have 2 issues. Solenoid is being energized when it should not be.
Also sounds like solenoid is not working and the resistor is trying to carry the load of the solenoid (which it can't) and getting hot. |
