Default Re: ParCar Pot Box

I got the pot box installed. Runs smoother but still has the same hesitation problem.

Any other suggestions as to what it may be?

Cool Re: ParCar Pot Box

The only other thing that I, myself, could suggest is make sure that all your batteries are good and all your main (large gauge) wire connection are good and clean.
Check your batteries and make sure they all have the same voltage.
Go through and check your wire harness and connections to make sure you don't have any bad spots in the harness and that all of the connections are clean and tight.

That is about all I can suggest.

You might try looking up Tech Support. He is a member here on BGW. He seems to be very knowledgeable with these beasts. Send him a message and see what he thinks. Then come back and let us know what he suggests.

One of the first things I did was check the voltage on the 8-6 volt batteries. They all showed 6.5 volts.

One other 'hint' as to what the problem may be is I hear a 'clicking' sound when it's sputtering.

How do I ask a question to tech support? I've seen the name. I couldn't find a specific link to tech support.

Thanks again.

FYI, that photo is NOT a potbox. It's a Linear Accelerator Device (LAD). Columbia part number CVG759803, list price of $264.22

Columbia switched away from the Pot Box in 2007. Difference besides reliability is the pot box goes from 0-5K impedance, while the LAD goes 5K to 0. They aren't interchangeable.

Thanks Tech Support.

May I ask if you have any idea what my issue may be?

The motor brushes? Before I bought the car it was repaired for 'stuck brushes in the motor'.
