![]() Does Anyone have experience with these Chinese batteries?
https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...838722039.html I'm including the spec sheet that they sent me. Here's the cost breakdown. 48V100ah lifepo4 battery and included BMS $799 48V 20A lifepo4 battery charger $149 Shipping $257 Out the door total $1,205 Thinking about pulling the trigger unless someone sounds an alarm. ![]() I'm not seeing a spec for discharge amps, either continuous or maximum. This is a major concern with GCs. Seems most lithium batteries are not able to supply the needed amps that GCs require.
What controller are you using? Also give us your GCs usage and modifications and the gurus will be able to help you with a lithium setup that would work well for you. |

![]() The specs show 100 amps (or customize) for continuous and maximum, the OP did not say what he requested, but hopefully more than the standard configuration.
Having a form factor that is designed to go into an equipment rack concerns me about its suitability for a golf cart application. |

![]() Turns out there is another thread that touches on this topic with a similar battery source. I will need to give them the exact dimensions and specs for the battery.

![]() Again, the max discharge of 100A would have me believe these are really not suitable for a golf cart application. They may work.....but if you're gonna spend that kind of money, why not go a bit more and get batteries that are built for a golf cart application?

![]() FWIW...
Lots of Naysayers out there bagging on Alibaba. Remember...ALL the batteries we are buying come from elsewhere. Going direct to the source is just a way to cut out the 2 or 3 middlemen stepping on the price. I work with vendors through Alibaba often. You have to know exactly what you need and how to ask for it but if you do, theres no reason to avoid buying direct. I do suggest using Paypal as a payment method as they will back you if something goes south, although I've never had it happen with China. Just be sure you know what you are getting but go for it. As far as the particular cells the OP is looking at, no way 100a is enough for a cart. The other thread mentioned lists a pack that would handle 275a continuous which is much better. I cant speak for a DC setup, but my Navitas never pulls more than 275a for more than a few seconds. |
