![]() Hello all,
I am a newbie to the forum. I am looking at buying a 1988 Elec (36v) Club Car. The owner is practicly giving me the cart. Of course it needs new batteries, but he says the batteries are getting very hot when it is in use. He also says the cart will try to "go" all the time. Even if you lock the brake, he can feel it try to push the cart. He thinks it may be a short somewhere, but I have no clue. Thanks for any advice. |

![]() Sounds like the car has a "stuck" solenoid, that could also cause wear and heat on the brakes. Good news is; solenoids are fairly cheap.

![]() Welcome to the forum vharper....................
I believe you will fix all of your problems with a new solenoid or maybe even a microswitch. |
