Re: Carryall air box
Looks to me like a 1980s cart that got an FE290 transplant. That small rectangular box that the voltage regulator and pedal control sits in looks like the older style that they used in the flathead carts. Aren't the newer ones shaped differently?

Re: Carryall air box
You my be right about that. I dunno what was used on the early 90's carryalls, but later versions had a black plastic box there just like what's on the DS.
Looking at it closer, there is also a bunch of stuff missing like the air shroud over the head, the plastic throat for the carb. The throttle return spring and bracket that should be behind the carb. |

Re: Carryall air box
Looks like the earlier (pre-1992) control box setup. I'm not sure if Club Car "factory" put FE290's into the carryall chassis earlier than the DS, but I know I have seen & worked on a '91 that had the FE290 and this earlier style control box.

Re: Carryall air box
Sorry forgot to get pics today. I'll get some tomorrow
And no, 1992 carryall and older had the KF82. I've had both 1992 and 1993 carryalls. My 92 had a KF82 and the 93 has a FE290 with the newer DS style electronics box. Between the two, the 290 is definitely a stronger smoother motor. Not to take anything away from the kf82, that one drove great, but I definitely prefer the 290 |

Re: Carryall air box
I am guessing it's a 92 really no way to tell. Might just be a mutt made from parts with no real way to tell the year

Re: Carryall air box
I'd lean toward it being a 91 or 92. Doesn't really matter as most parts are interchangeable for several years. Drivetrain-wise that cart is the same as 92 to 96 DS which you can still find plenty of parts and info for.

Re: Carryall air box
Does this help? This isn't exactly the "right" cable, pretty sure this came off a precedent so it's a little long. But the one that was on it was trashed and frayed and this is a spare I had laying around. Works perfectly fine. I routed it under the starter/generator to keep if away from the exhaust, but theres a "clamp" you can see on top of the fan cover the right one routes under.

Re: Carryall air box
The cable that runs from the foot pedal how does that hook to the linkage?

Re: Carryall air box
Hard to get a pic, I took this when I rebuilt the motor in mine. Easier to see with the starter/generator removed

Re: Carryall air box
be sure to seal up the air intake system very well, mine would not run until every connection was totally sealed(mated up and taped)
