12 Volts to test 36 volt solenoids?
All the test for the Harley 36v solenoids show them triggering them with 12 volts. This is right out of the HD service manual. Mine will only engage with a minimum of 30 volts. The wiring diagrams show the solenoid coils fed at 36v. Are all 3 of my solenoids bad or what? Anyone tested theirs? Help please, pulling my hair out trying to get this cart running.

Re: 12 Volts to test 36 volt solenoids?
Keep it simple, if they use 36v to operate and they work on 36v then you can move on to the next step, no?
HD used a bunch of different voltage solenoids over the years. some within the same cart. Good luck and Merry Christmas |
