Yamaha G1 rear clutch
Got a older Yamaha G1 not sure on year but would say in the early 80’s and the rear clutch popped off into pieces and was looking to see if anyone can link me to a complete rear clutch that might have the spring pressed ect by chance ,TIA

Re: Yamaha G1 rear clutch
Are you saying the clutch is "broken into pieces"? Or did it just come loose and all the clutch parts are laying on the ground? Can you post a pic?
That clutch will not and cannot come together with the spring, the parts must be assembled separately. The input shaft nut is what holds everything together. I have a used stock unit in usable condition. $25 plus shipping if you want? PM me if interested. |

Re: Yamaha G1 rear clutch
Hi slonomo, the clutch is all over the place all I have is the larger pieces that the belt rises on and the spring, it’s been awhile since I posted pics on any forum but I’ll try

Dont forget the keyway and cotter pin on reassembly. Make sure the nut and threads are on good condition

Re: Yamaha G1 rear clutch
It doesn't appear that anything is broken. Could the nut just have come loose and the parts came off?

Re: Yamaha G1 rear clutch
inspect the bushing for wear / fitment on the shaft replace the ramp shoes and install a new castle nut, keyway and cotter pin and send it.
I prefer the Black the ramp shoes over the white ones, they fit better, atleast for me anyway |
