Driven clutch won't engage or spin

HELP.!!

Not a new member. i could not reset my old username/password for some reason.

Anyways. 2007 Club Car Gas.

I removed and replaced the crank case gasket. everything is back in place. the driven clutch will not spin. the drive belt will not spin. everything else engages. the starter generator belt spins fine. the drive belt does not.

very frustrating spending hours trying to figure this out.

to add, i also replaced the drive belt.

I'm thinking the drive clutch is not tight enough and is slipping on the tapered crankshaft. Try tightening the bolt

could be. how in the heck do i tighten it if the clutch spins when turning the bolt

yes but the drive clutch is spinning and so is the smaller belt. yet the drive belt and driven clutch behind it do not spin.

This is probably a silly question... does the engine start and rev up to higher RPM's?

Look down at the starter/generator belt. Is it straight and lined up well between the two pulleys? If it is then your drive clutch is probably on properly.

Did you have the motor out? Did you put the motor back in at the proper front-to-back distance? If the motor was re-installed and is too far back (too close distance between clutches) you may have trouble getting the drive belt to engage.
