Default KF82 flathead carb spacer

hello, guys,
I have a 1990 cc with the KF82 flathead. When i bought it, the motor was in boxes. The rod had spun. I ran across another flathead with a broke cam and took the 2 and made 1 good motor (i hope).
I have assembled it and i am missing the carb spacer. My question is...are there any replacements? Will one from an OHV work? (if the ohv even has one) Or other kawasaki engines with the same one? I tried posting in the parts for sale/wanted section, but i couldnt. I guess cause im a newbie..LOL
I am very close to seeing if this thing runs so i am kinda anxious. I do have a brand new 13hp gx390 honda motor waiting, if it is bad. also have a new 12.5hp NOS kohler. (i know what you are saying, why even mess with the kf82...)
thanks

you should be able to fab one of those and it shouldn,t be to hard........as for the thickness i,m not sure how important that really is............me i would use a truck tire innertube that will form fit and take the heat........................

I've seen those spacers as thicK as 1/2" before but I'm not sure on the older flatheads. The thicker ones are to help keep direct heat from causing vapor lock. If it isn't one of those I'd just get some gasket card from your local auto parts supplier and cut it to shape.

The carb spacer on my old KF82 was around 1/2" thick, give or take. It was a 1988 model. It also appeared to be made of plastic?

thanks guys.
the carb has to be spaced away from the intake due to clearance. i have a roll of gasket material but it would not work by just mounting it directly. the intake also has studs coming out. it looks like the spacer would be at least 1/2 inch if not thicker. i will try to fab something up, if i cant find one.
thanks again.
