Roof Support for G16

I am looking for rear roof top supports for a G16 Yamaha. I took off the rear seat and saw that the original roof supports were cut on the bottom and mounted directly to the rear seat. Don;t know why or who did that but what is missing I guess is the "L" part of the supports I think that attach to the back of the main seat?

Figured I would try here first before going another route.

Figured I would try here first before going another route.

The rear roof brace attaches to the bottom of the horizontal part of the seat support and part of the golf bag holder/basket. I have enclosed a picture.

Yes, that what is should look like but both the seat post and rood post were cut to work with the rear seat...I was hoping to maybe it all mounting to the actual seat but from the photo it looks like I would need the bag holder as well..

Guess, I will have to fabricate something then. Any ideas??

I don't know what tools you have available, but I would go to Lowes, Home dump or Tractor supply and buy some 1x1 steel square stock. Cut, bolt or weld together. Make it fit down into where the seat back goes below and bolt it there. If your handy I'm sure you can modify what some one else messed up.
