Default Question on power spring for clutch

I recently installed a power spring, spacer, and new machined sheave on my g2 cart. I also installed a new helix, or spring seat as some call it. Unlike the stock spring the power spring doesn't have tits to locate in the helix. I have a pic of my concerns, the plastic shoes don't seem to be hitting the ramps right. Does this look correct?
Any feed back welcome.

Thanks,
Brian

As soon as you put a load on the belt, the sliding sheave should rotate and the buttons will contact.

Well I pulled it apart yesterday, aligned helix so the plastic buttons were resting on sliding sheave. Today I look and it's back to how the pic looks. What would cause the helix to want to spin backwards?

Thanks,
Brian

call 'em up and tell 'em they sent you a spring that was twisted in the wrong direction! i think those super-stiff springs and shaved sliding sheaves are a bad combo, too little metal left, too much pressure (i have broken parts to support this opinion). all jokes aside, is this after a ride with coasting to a stop at the end, is this on jack stands? on dirt, try accelerating then locking up the brakes untill you are stopped. what i am getting at here is, are there any conditions where the sliding sheave IS in the right position?

Is it possible to have spring in backwards??? All the times I've looked at helix it is like in the pic. But if you look at sliding sheave you can see marks where plastic shoes have made contact where they should.
To answer question, it has been normal driving around yard and on a 300 yard gravel road. Always coast to stop very little break use.

Thanks,
Brian

Keep in mind the sliding sheave twists as it follows the ramp when the clutch upshifts.
When you backed off the clutch just closed up with little or no rotation and is now resting as you show it.
If you start up and just drive off enough to engage the clutch but then not accelerate so the clutch would upshift, and you stop the cart with the brakes the sheave should be up close to the buttons.
Now if the cart is decelerated by the engine when backing off the throttle the clutch could be spun back from the engine decelerating the cart.
Personally I do not see any issues with your clutch.
