Default New guy here with a G2 rebuild (lots of pictures)

Hey guys.

This old G2 has been in my family since '93. It's been a go cart, a farm cart, and golf cart. I've been meaning to restore it for several years. I finally got the time and the energy to dive in a few weeks

Here's what it looked like before I started:

The cart was in remarkable condition considering the life its had.

The teardown begins.

A little rattle can magic

New shoes

I grew up around a body shop. My dad used to restore cars when I was a kid. I used to love to help him. I haven't painted anything in at least 15 years. The paint turned out pretty good considering I was the one that sprayed it.

Tada! Here it is 99% complete.

I still need to install a new kickplate and bumper. Overall, I am pretty happy.

Thank you. I still need to do a little wet sanding and buffing, but it will at least get me around the golf course.

How bout that! I'm on Bull Shoals lake, close to the ***.
If you don't mind telling me, where did you get the Yamaha parts
for your rebuild? Closest place I've found is in Rogers.
Thanks
JP

We camp at the State Park quite a bit. It's so nice up there.

I didn't need any actual Yamaha parts. There wasn't anything broken on the old cart.

I ordered the dress up items from random Ebay auctions.
