G9 roof support relocate
I just picked up a G9 (I think) and was looking to add a rear seat. I notice that the roof supports come down, then towards the middle, then turn and head back over the basket. This is not going to work well for a rear seat. Anyone have experience modifying this setup so that the back is clear for a seat?
I have a picture but it wouldn't let me attach due to being a new member. picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/CshteXd6ciXyawzx1zevOo1gRPzjQkY6Ub16Qnb8KK0?feat=d irectlink |

Re: G9 roof support relocate
If you buy a flip-flop seat kit the installation instructions will tell what you need to do for the installation. I was able to squeeze the sweater basket back in between the front and rear seats on my G16. It has similar pieces in that area.

Re: G9 roof support relocate
They sell new roof struts that bolt onto he side of the cart under the side panel by the seat backs. That is the best solution.

Re: G9 roof support relocate
Yeah new roof supports sold separately best option. Although I had to modify my roof supports that were "designed" for my seat kit. Don't be surprised if you have to think outside the box.

Here is your picture as a clicky: You put url in square brackets in front and /url in square brackets at the end. If it is an img link then you use img and /img with the square brackets above the " and enter keys on your keyboard.

Re: G9 roof support relocate
Where are you guys finding the roof supports? I've got a G9 with the same
supports in back as in the picture but, I'm trying to find the kind that are attached inside the seat supports where there supposed to be. Here's what I got now! Thinking about removing the whole thing and going topless. JP |

I got mine through the same place I got my seat kit. I'm sure some of the site sponsors will have them!

Re: G9 roof support relocate
I didn't put the place I got my seat kit because I'm a Canadian guy. I am sure you can get stuff in the states. For the record, it was called Smiths Equipment and Sales, out of smiths falls Ontario. They order their stuff through Nivel....
