Default Alltrax fault code 5

Got a 04 pds with alltrax 400 amp controller that is flashing in red code 5. Looked up code and found it means open field. Cust has replaced solenoid. Just looking for suggestions before I go hunting things. Any suggestions? Did have to drag cart into shop, rear seems to be locked up, but with rear raised tires do spin in opposite directions, but will not in same direction. fixing to jump all elec and put 36volts on motor to check motor.

Story behind cart. 18 year old kid was hauling cart and it came off trailer and bounced down major 4 lane hwy (hwy 231 for the ones in alabama). Cart ran perfect before hwy trip. Came to a stop on passenger side.

Cart has 37.1 volts and new batteries (deka). All batteries load test fine.

36V trick did not work, nothing happened.

I did remove the motor to find it in a million pieces insied. lLiterally in a million pieces. I will try and get pics up of the mess. If I can, how did this happen, because the cust wants to know. he is just that way. He has to have answers.

Open field means either motor is bad or controller is bad, call/write Alltrax for a RA

Just read your second post, sorry, I hope the controller is not affected either, if you have another working cart, test the controller, they are sensitive to motor fails, but surely Alltrax guys will stand behind their guarantee and replace the controller if still under...

The controller is capable to push the motor to higher RPM's and if the bearing was bad, then this could be the cause of all that. When putting this controllers on 4+ fleet carts, always replace motor bearing and check brushes and replace if the are under 50% of their life.
Didn't the fuse open?

tired to upload thumbnails, but it would not take.

all fuses are good. The only thing I can think of it that it was drug down road with rear wheels on ground before son knew it and this is the carnage that is left. But t sure does look old damage to me and he said it happened back in JUNE.

When the cart left the trailer at speed the motor instantly achieved 10,000+ RPM and grenaded. Anytime the rear wheels are turning, the motor spins too. It's that simple.

And, I bet the cart rolls fine now that the motor has been removed.
