![]() Hello I have 2001 club car gas cart with a fe290 engine. Is there a way to lower the rpms of the cart? I do have a 6 inch lift kit with 22-11-10 tires on it. Thanks for any help

![]() Any Ideas anyone?? My cart runs at 12mph and its rpms are at 3900. I would like to get the rpms lower if I can. Thanks for any help.

![]() 12mph at 3900 rpms, somethings wrong there. the rpms shouldnt be that high even with 18" tires unless its geared high

![]() ok guys lets make sure I have this tachometer set to the right settings first. That way I know what its reading is actually the rpms of my cart. It has 4 settings:
1-spark plug fires twice per revolution 2-once per revolution 3-everyother revolution 4-display no rpms Which setting should it be on? Then I can retest things and we can go from there. Thanks for any help. |

![]() Try setting #1... Most small engines use a "wasted spark" ignition system, meaning the plug fires every time the piston hits TDC...

![]() If option 1 is what I need then I had it all wrong. Putting it on option 1 will bring the rpm reading way down. I will test it today and let you know the results. Thanks.
