Default Re: EZGO switching ignition switch

For those that are dying to know what I am doing...current switch wires were all traced and are listed below. Also listed is what I will be doing with the wires to move to new switch. Thanks jeffrun.

Current Switch
Terminal I - Ignition
Red-Carb solenoid
White1-Relay to magnetos
White2-Reverse
*Move Red/White1 to I on new switch
*Delete White2

Terminal B - Batt
Red-Battery
*Move Red to B on new switch

Terminal S - Starter
Blue-Starter
*Move Blue to S on new switch

Terminal ACC - Accessories
Red1-Splits and goes to 2 toggle switches for lights and whip
Red2-Stereo
*Move Red1 to B on new switch
*Move Red2 to I on new switch
*Connect Tach and Speedometer to I on new switch or splice into Red2

Unused connections on new switch
M-mag. ground(wire this terminal to a solid metal ground. When your turn
switch to off position, this grounds out the magnetos.
M-Magneto, this term goes to the magnetos, usually to the common side of
shorting diodes.
C-this for electric choke

Making a few modifications to above plan. Following factory recommendations, hooking up magneto to new switch. Currently going through a relay so removing the White1 and White2 above, deleting the relay, running the magneto kill (currently going to relay) to M1 with a new wire and grounding M2.
