Question 2003 ds iq nwie questions

First off want to say hello to everyone and then my questions

1. cart has 03 batteries and seem to charge good after 2-3 days of lite use it still clocks out at 15mph with gps but when i hit hills it slows down quite a bit climbs no problem though, is this normal?

2. charger gets warm when on cables and connections are all tight, is this normal?

3. Have installed voltage converter from everything carts 48v to 12v 10amp for lights, when hooked up and no load it has a buzzing sound that they say is normal, has any one else had this problem with any other converter, i hooked a switch in line in fear of drawing batteries down.

4. Last is about charger again when i hook it up to cart it takes about 10 seconds to come on then in about 1 minute it shuts off and then comes back on and charges o.k. is this normal?

Sorry for all the questions but have searched the forum and have not found specific answers and was hoping to get some help, thanks to all in advance.

Hey Rusty but what about the voltage converter making noise with no load on it i am afraid it will kill the batteries it makes a buzzing noise when it just sits there and when i put a load on it it goes away but i am afraid if it is buzzing it is drawing from the batteries.

Good Point. I would put a cut off switch in line with it just to be on the safe side. I don't know how much difference yours is than mine. I have one on my cart as well, but never had a problem with battery drain. And mine is on all the time too.

Hissing sounds like an arc. this may be dumb but... How is it grounded?

it is grounded directly to the battery, the hissing is coming from internal

Ok, was just wondering sounded like might be a bad ground. If internal might be transformer noise.
