New Yamaha owner with a G ?
I am new to electric carts and new to Yamaha carts. I just bought a 48v- 2012 Yamaha with 8v batteries. I have been reading the forum and I see references to G2 , G29 etc. What does this reference? I am guessing models?

Re: New Yamaha owner with a G ?
Thanks for the clarification. Took it to the ranch to play today. Its amazing at how quiet this thing is. I literally drove up on deer and they did not know I was there. Just ordered the windshield and skid plate for it. Next month will lift and tires. Do the 20x11x10 do well on these carts?
Also is the something wrong with the site sponsor button? I go there and only see one sponsor. From reading other posts it seems there are several? May I cant see everything due to post count? |

Re: New Yamaha owner with a G ?
20x11-10 with a 3" lift should be fine. Not sure how the larger diameter tires will affect the electronics...

Re: New Yamaha owner with a G ?
You can fit 20" tires on a stock height G29 with no lift.
I installed a 3" lift (Rhox) and added 23" tires (actually measured 22.4"). I only had to trim the rear rocker panel slightly. No rubbing at all. |

Re: New Yamaha owner with a G ?
So a 6" lift will more than work. I want the cart as I high as I can get. I just do not want to put to tall of a tire and lose low end power. Cart will be used for ranch work, uneven terrain etc
Thanks for the help and info. |

Re: New Yamaha owner with a G ?
The only purpose for a lift kit is to clear larger tires for increased ground clearance. To lift a cart 6" and keep small 20" tires looks funny IMO and doesn't help anything.
Here's my 3" lift and 23" tires. |

That looks nice BTW. As you can tell I am completely new to carts. The cart will going through small creek crossings, wooded areas and the back part of our property is deep sand. |
