Default What is normal operation when a cart rolls back?

I have a new to me 2011 g29. I'm trying to figure out what the cart should do if the key is left in the on position and the cart is on a slight incline. How far should it roll? Should the brakes kick in? Should it beep?

I have just replaced the batteries and I want to be sure everything is working correctly.

Thanks for the responses.

It should beep the reverse buzzer, and apply max motor regen to slow the cart (not brake pedal "brakes"). Because of the fact that sepex regen systems cannot regen to zero rpm (like an AC system can), the cart should creep down the hill at a speed that will prevent it from "running away". Walking speed should be fast enough to catch up to it and set the brake. This should happen any time the tow/run switch is on, regardless of the key position.

The beep I was getting sounded a little sick. It sounds like everything is alright. Thanks!

I concurr. When the car begins to roll , it will start to beep, and the speed will be limited going down hill, to 2 mph, but it will NOT STOP the car from rolling. Even if the key is off, it will have the "roll off" feature active, as long as the run/tow switch in in run, and has battery power. Test the regen system, by simply pushing the cart, with the brakes off.
