Default Re: New Project - Fancy Speedometer, etc

I would prefer one display that I can change modes on. That is what I plan to do. I am now programming my 4 x 20 display to display big font numbers for speedometer only mode. Pressing a button will toggle to other displays. Speedometer is one I want to see while driving. The others I can look at when stopped. If I find a larger bright graphics display, I may work on an upgrade but now I am sticking with the 4 x 20 LCD with backlight. They are really cheap ($10) from China.
I will take a good picture when I get the large font number display programmed up.

Here are pictures of two new display modes. One displays all of the cell voltages on my Lithium pack as well as the total pack voltage. The second is a speedometer only with large block letters. All are on the same 4 line by 20 char LCD display. The backlight is actually much brighter on the display that I have installed in the cart. These are pix of a breadboard.

It has been a fun project. I really like the Audrino boards. Easy to program and cheap. That display is $10 from China.
