This 3/16" heavy duty "allen socket" is the only "special tool" needed to do the job (them bolts are TIGHT). Large & small snap ring pliers should be available too (standard stuff for golf cart axles). Its not a super hard job, but does require removing & splitting the axle to change the brakes. I would charge 1.5 hour for a simple "axle swap" (remove old axle, install new axle). I would charge 4.5 hour to remove, disassemble, change brakes, reinstall axle. Anyone who dont like my labor quotes can try it themselves (i consider my knowledge and experience valuable)... The electric axles are easier than the gas axles, (more gears, shifter fork, ect). I'll share what help i can here with anyone who wants to try it, but you will have to pay for me to do it for you (unless you drink beer with me on tuesdays, then i'll probably trade beer).

Might as well throw this in too... All model Yamahas, parts diagrams with part numbers. Https://www.shopyamaha.com/parts-catalog/lines/golfcar Works good on phone browsers too.
