Default 95 or 96 electric 36v, what alltrax controller do i need for more torque

I have a 95 or 96 Yamaha 36v cart. After riding for 5 min or so it shuts off. I wait a few min and it will run again for a couple min then shutoff. I have been told the controller is starting to fail and that it is over heating and shutting itself off.

If I am going to replace the controller I might as well upgrade right?

What amp controller should I get? Do I need to replace the solenoid too?

I have hundreds of customers running a 500 amp control with this stock motor on 36 and 48v. Performance is greatly improved. You need to upgrade the whole amperage delivery system.
The amperage delivery system is every part between the batteries (power) and the motor (consumption).
In a series drive cart this list includes the:

Controller
Solenoid
F&R switch
13 cables

Everything must be properly matched or a weak point is built in.
Typically we use the Alltrax or FSIP 500a control
A Superduty 200 or 400 amp Solenoid (depending upon anticipated loads)
Our HD F&R switch
2g cable set

Yes but when is the new MOTOR coming
Pkg 485 is a perfect match for this cart with stock motor now and good for most all aftermarket motors later. 500 amps is the sweet spot for most series cart

The old website has a problem with some mobile phone service carriers. Try a PC or desktop.
The new mobile friendly cartsunlimited.net will be up in a matter of weeks. Thanks for bearing with us.
