Default wont idle up sometimes

97 4 stroke sometimes it won't idle up. Drove around for day, park and next morning you can hold peddle to floor it starts and sits there at a low idle. Will do this some times for ever or sometimes a Minuit or so than takes off. So... clutch ? Fuel issue. Not to sure to be exact. Seems like one time when charged battery fully it seemed to work great. I noticed a clicking sound around clutch area for a second when accelerated last time. Made me think of clutch issue .

Sounds like It's not running but just the starter
turning it over, which sounds like idleing.

Is the exhaust warm when it does this? (running)
Is the choke closing all the way?

Choke is closed. And you could be right. It did at one time turn over for a bit then sputtered than back to the low idle. Exhaust is cold right now. I wonder if it's not charging my battery. But in neutral and volt meter shows its sitting at 12.78 when half throttle. Resin for checking this was seemed as it was struggling to turn over for first two revolutions when it would not start.
I hooked up charger and it took off

I doubt it's a charging problem if it turns over good.

I found on a couple ezgo's I had they would start best if you hold it to the floor with choke out
for a bit, then as you let back up on the peddle they would start just above idle.

Also I started using premium gas in everything I have (but my car)
they seem to start and run better, not a fan of ethanol.
