Default Sun cruiser

My neighbor recently came across a Yamaha sun cruiser electric cart . Cute little thing . One piece windshield , factory light package , trunk in the nose like a VW . 4 6 volt bats and 2 8 volts , I assume for the lights . Has the woody decals on it also . Any info on this ? Thanks ,Kevin .

should have all batteries being 6v. that mod was done to get a little more speed from it. 2 problems with its current configuration.

- mis-matched amp hour capacity will result in some batteries gettng over charged, some undercharged.

- no one makes a 40v golf cart charger, that alone precludes the batteries from ever gettng proper charging treatment.

i say yes. BUT... dont buy 2 new 6v batteries. get either 2 age-matched used batteries or all 6 new batteries. unless the batteries are very close to new, like less than a year old. the problem with this scenario is that we already know the batteries have been abused due to mismatching no matter how new they are. the 6v batteries have been chronically undercharged as long as the 8v batteries have been there with them.
