Hard to say. I see pressure oiled twins that are shot at 3K hours, but they run high rpm and work all those hours. In the end unless you owned it you can't trust a meter anyway, did they change the oil or, did they leave the key on...you'll never know. But you can look for other signs, when I buy a car I always look at the door handle inside, the steering wheel, the shifter/etc. and the driver seat for wear.
