Vanish issues
Hey Guys/Gals
I have a Vanish that I've had a couple issues with, not major but i'd like to get them fixed. I would appreciate any help you could give. 1. I have a yoke that holds a u-joint that has cracked, it drives the front transmission. I don't know if it can be welded or if I need to try to find a machine shop to make a replacement somehow. I haven't been able to find parts for it. I called Columbia up in Wisconsin and they said that they have little to no parts for the Vanish. 2. I have a noise coming from my left rear wheel that has gotten worse, Both wheels were making the noise, it's a 1 per revolution noise, sounds like something is binding maybe. I replaced the wheel bearings in both rear hubs but that didn't seem to make a difference. maybe the CV joint? I re-torqued the lug nuts and axle nut and it seemed to help for about a mile, now the sound is back again. I checked to see if the parking brake was the culprit but it's not. the noise comes right from the wheel. Thanks for your help. Don |
