Default Re: Replacing a Sevcon 6337T45303 Controller with an Altrax XCT Round 2

Here is some info from my controller.

The file curve was developed with the help of Alltrax tech engineering after repeated full throttle runs. This is a very aggressive field map set up for max regen current. Great for performance...not so great for max battery efficiency.

The pic are my settings and I will attempt to attach the actual txt files.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Did you ever get that clean wire diagram?
I haven't had a lot of time to work on it lately. Work comes first.

I apologise for the delay in responding. I have not been able to get a clean drw. He used a trial version of smart draw but I was able to use it for some troubleshooting....just not easy. I have scanned and attached what I have...ignore my hand written notes as they were some jottings I was using to work the issue. Hope you can read it.

Thank you ... it looks like I have most of this going to the right places.
I just wanted to be 100% sure before I apply power to the new controller.

I did realize that I purchased some items that I completely did not need (i.e. the huge forward/reverse contacts and switch), but I just put that up to in-experience with working on these toys.

I will post good news on my cart as soon as I have some time to walk it all through with my test meters and get it running.

Cheers and keep 'em rolling!

The uni-map is a safe field map for any sepex motor. I thought I read somebody needed it, so I posted it.

Thanks Scotty.
What I was looking for is how the technician that worked on bluwtr49's par car, wired everything up in it..

Altrax had given me the motor mapping for my cart already.

But thanks for looking out for us.

I'm hoping that wiring diagram is some what useful but, if I were to do it over, I would simply remove the entire wiring harness and rewire the cart as a club car (IQ I believe). Part of the issue is that Columbia using several splices that are buried in the harness and some of those need to be accessed.

Before I started this project I studied all the wiring diagrams for various other carts which are available on the Alltrax website. When you look at them it becomes obvious that all the hardware is pretty much the same and there are only a couple of dozen wires in the whole cart so a complete rewire isn't a significant issue and probably easier than patching in the circuits necessary.

One of the biggest challenges was to replace the accelerator module with a 0 - 5K pot. The Colombia supplied device mounted up by the hydraulic brake master cylinder and he had to fab a new mount under the car. I'll try to get underneath and snap a couple of pics.

Best of luck and if you need any other info just let me know.
